1. Information we collect
We may collect account and profile details, contact information, language and output preferences, meeting links you submit, voice or video samples you choose to provide, and audio or video processed during an active PolyGlot session. We also receive basic device, app version, diagnostic, and usage information needed to operate and improve the service.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide transcription, translation, synthesized voice, avatar, meeting, support, security, and account features; remember your settings; diagnose errors; prevent abuse; and improve PolyGlot. Voice and video samples are used to provide the features you request and should not be used to impersonate you outside those features.
3. Meeting content and consent
PolyGlot processes live conversation content only when a session is active. Depending on the selected mode, this may include transcription, translation, generated audio, or avatar output. You are responsible for obtaining any notice or consent required from meeting participants and for following the rules of the meeting platform you use.
4. How information is shared
Information may be shared with vendors that provide infrastructure, transcription, translation, voice, avatar, analytics, security, customer-support, or meeting-integration services on our behalf. Meeting content may also be transmitted to the meeting platform you select. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction.
5. Storage and retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide PolyGlot, maintain security and records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods can differ by data type and service configuration. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No service or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, so users should avoid submitting information they do not want processed through the selected PolyGlot feature.
7. Your choices and rights
You control when PolyGlot joins a meeting and whether microphone, camera, voice, subtitle, or avatar features are enabled. Device permissions can be changed in macOS or Windows settings. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent by contacting us.
8. Children
PolyGlot is intended for business and general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and address the request.
9. International processing
PolyGlot and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and handle information according to applicable privacy law.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this notice as PolyGlot changes. The revised notice will be posted with a new effective date, and additional notice will be provided when required. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@alacritycs.com or through alacritycs.com.

1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the PolyGlot desktop application, website, meeting integrations, and related services provided by AlacrityCS. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using PolyGlot, you agree to these terms. If you use PolyGlot for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter into these terms and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account, safeguarding your credentials, and notifying us promptly if you believe your account or device has been compromised.
3. License and permitted use
Subject to these terms, AlacrityCS grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use PolyGlot for its intended purpose. You may use the service for lawful personal or business communications and only in accordance with applicable platform rules and local law.
4. Meeting notice and consent
You are responsible for notifying participants when PolyGlot joins, listens to, transcribes, translates, records, or generates media in a meeting, and for obtaining all consents required by applicable law. Do not use PolyGlot where recording, biometric processing, or automated participation is prohibited.
5. Voice and avatar features
You may submit voice, image, or video material only when you have the right and permission to do so. You may not create or use a voice profile or avatar to impersonate another person, deceive participants, commit fraud, misrepresent authorization, or produce unlawful or harmful content.
6. Prohibited conduct
You may not reverse engineer or disrupt PolyGlot; bypass access, security, or usage controls; introduce malicious code; scrape or overload the service; violate privacy or intellectual-property rights; harass or exploit others; use the service for illegal surveillance; or help another person do any of these things.
7. Third-party services
PolyGlot may interoperate with meeting platforms, infrastructure providers, and AI or media services that are governed by their own terms and policies. AlacrityCS does not control those services and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, or independent actions.
8. Ownership and feedback
AlacrityCS and its licensors retain all rights in PolyGlot, including its software, design, trademarks, and documentation. You retain rights in content you lawfully provide. If you send feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or compensation to improve our products and services.
9. Availability and changes
PolyGlot may change as features are added, modified, limited, or discontinued. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or protection of users and the service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
10. Disclaimers
PolyGlot uses automated transcription, translation, voice, and media technologies that may make mistakes. You should verify important information and should not rely on PolyGlot for emergency, medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other high-risk communications. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.
11. Liability and indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AlacrityCS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from PolyGlot. You agree to indemnify AlacrityCS for claims resulting from your unlawful use, content, or violation of these terms or another person’s rights.
12. Termination, law, and contact
You may stop using PolyGlot at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, risk, or legal reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective. The final published terms should identify the governing law, venue, company address, and any required dispute process. Questions may be sent to hello@alacritycs.com.
